Keziah Addoquaye
The merciful and brilliant soul that paved the way for the founding of this organization belonged to a 13-year-old 8th grader girl by the name of Keziah Addoquaye. As a student, Keziah was beloved by the school and the community she belongs to since she was a person who carried her values close to her heart. A value she upheld the most was charity.
Keziah’s passion lies in collecting donated bookbags so she can send them to underprivileged school children across the world. Her dedication to her cause was so profound that even with her fight against Leukemia, Keziah persisted, and her collection of donated bookbags still found a new home in the kids she helped. In an unfortunate turn of fate, Keziah lost the battle against her condition and laid her life to eternal rest on March 11, 2021.
A year after her untimely passing, Keziah’s loving family decided to carry the torch of her advocacy in her stead and established the Keziah Addoquaye Foundation. Our charity organization continues Keziah’s passion for education and charity work by accepting preloved bookbags and distributing our collected donations to children living in third-world countries. With our outreach programs, we don’t only address the lack of educational supplies that many children face. We also contribute to the efforts to reduce global waste by promoting the reusing of old bookbags. This year, we focus our efforts on supplying bookbags for the children caught in the war in Ukraine.
Whatever misfortune threatens children’s education worldwide, we promise to have them feel our unwavering support to help them carry on through dire times.
